ABBA INTERNATIONAL CHURCH

History

WHO WE ARE:

A church established by God with a vision guided by the biblical ecclesiastical model, through the teaching of God's Word, bringing to its foundation an evangelistic vision in fulfillment of Jesus' commandment.

OUR PURPOSE:

- To be a relevant church;

- To reach our community, serving, educating, and transforming lives;

- To bring the supernatural movement of God through specific services that meet the needs of the people and families in our community;

- To provide social assistance to those in need;

- To reach the lost;

- To make each home an extension of the church.

OUR MISSION:

“To reach the world for Christ, one person at a time.”

This is our declaration and God's will when He established that each member, after being established in the Word, may work and help others to be part of this purpose. Reaching lives in the presence of God requires something very special from us: LOVE.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:34-35).

“Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law” (Romans 13:9-10).

OUR VALUES:

- We value the local church as the place chosen by God to manifest Himself, bringing to us the reality of the Kingdom and the Word;

- We value the work of the Holy Spirit, His gifts and anointing, as a supernatural empowerment from God, necessary for the functioning of the body of Christ;

- We value the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) as one of the greatest commandments and commitments that the Church must fulfill and practice;

- We value the teaching of the Scriptures, the Word of God, as an irreplaceable instrument for the perfecting of a balanced and moderate Christian life and for a fruitful ministry;

- We value the authority of the pastor as the leader of the local church who will give an account before God for the exercise of his authority;

- We value the family as the fundamental cell of the Church and society;

- We value baptism, which gives people the opportunity to bury the old self and be born again as a new creature in Christ;

- We value the Lord's Supper, which brings to mind the sacrifice and makes us participants in the body of Christ;

- We value all the commandments and ordinances of God left in His Holy Word.

GROWTH GROUPS:

For a long time, churches were influenced by clericalism.

This hindered the full functioning and growth of the Body of Christ, but God has brought to these new times the opportunity for us to be productive according to God's measure.

We understand that our gifts should be used to edify other members; that is, we should produce and not only consume. Each believer is a soul winner, a direct agent of God to rescue souls.

ABBA International Church, with this vision, adds a tool making each member a soul winner and each home an extension of the church.

OUR PASTORS: Pastor Clewson Oliveira and Gisele Oliveira

Bachelor of Theology, ordained to the Pastoral Ministry on September 5, 1992. He has been married to Gisele Oliveira for 29 years and is the father of two children: Victoria and Nicholas.
